The
Basic Law Bulletin is published jointly by the Department of Justice, the Civil
Service Bureau and the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau. It is published
in support of the work of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee. Its primary
aim is to promote greater awareness and knowledge of the Basic Law within the
civil service. It summarizes recent Basic Law court cases and decisions of the
LegCo President on Members' bills under Rule 51(3) and (4) of the LegCo Rules
of Procedure. It also introduces key provisions and concepts of the Basic Law.
