| Entry Requirements : | |
| Candidates should have – | |
| (a) | a bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; |
| (b) | at least 12 years of post-qualification full-time working experience, including at least 5 years of full-time working experience in senior executive positions in administrative or secretariat duties. Working experience in the legal field in the Government or public sector will be an advantage; |
| (c) | proven experience and strong capacity in carrying out project planning, budgeting, stakeholder liaison and event management; |
| (d) | excellent interpersonal and communication skills; |
| (e) | sound knowledge of the nature of work and operations of the Government or public sector; |
| (f) | strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, with level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent. |
| Notes: |
| For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. |
| Duties : The Senior Executive Manager will mainly be responsible for the following duties – |
|
| (a) | To assist in co-ordinating and implementing the policy initiatives and the related work undertaken for the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Office (Office)/Department of Justice (DoJ) including providing administrative and logistical support to trainings, capacity-building programmes, international conferences, events and meetings, duty visits, etc.; |
| (b) | To provide executive support on various administrative functions including overseeing the Office’s registry, personnel matters and contract management, office accommodation, records management, enquiries and complaints, etc.; |
| (c) | To handle financial matters, including procurement, budget estimate and control, etc.; and |
| (d) | To perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time. |
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department of Justice and the candidate’s performance.
| Fringe Benefits: | |
| (a) | An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485), equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. |
| (b) | Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), paid annual leave of 14 days per year of service, maternity leave/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the contract. |

| (g) | Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
