Summer Internship Programme

Entry Requirements

Every year, the Department of Justice will recruit Summer Interns (Law) under the Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme. Full-time students who meet the following entry requirements are welcome to apply –

  1. being permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
  2. studying third year or above in post-secondary institutions with academic background in law, or post-graduate law degree programmes;
  3. having basic knowledge in computer applications and research skills on the Internet; and
  4. being fluent in both Cantonese and English.

Monthly Allowance

The selected applicants will receive a monthly allowance which will be promulgated in each year’s recruitment notice. The monthly allowance for Summer Interns in 2024 is $11,200.


A recruitment notice detailing the application procedures and closing date for application has been posted on the website of the Department of Justice as well as the website of the Civil Service Bureau (at on 16 February 2024 and application was closed on 29 February 2024.
