Department of Justice co-organises ISDS Reform Conference ??Mapping the Way Forward

The Secretary for Justice, Ms Teresa Cheng, SC, speaks at "The Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) Reform Conference ??Mapping the Way Forward" held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre today (February 13). The event, co-organised by the Department of Justice and the Asian Academy of International Law, brought together senior government officials, leading practitioners and world-renowned academics in the field of international investment and arbitration law. Various important topical issues including investment mediation, appeal mechanisms for ISDS, third party funding in ISDS, appointment and rules for arbitrators, as well as permanent investment courts, were discussed.
