Secretary for Justice to visit Macao

The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will visit Macao next Monday (January 7) to sign the "Arrangement Concerning Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards Between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region".

Under the arrangement, the courts of the HKSAR and Macao SAR will mutually recognise and enforce arbitral awards in both places.

Mr Yuen will take the opportunity to call on Macao SAR's Public Prosecutions Office, Court of Final Appeal and Legal Affairs Bureau.

Also joining the visit will be the Solicitor General, Mr Frank Poon, and the Deputy Solicitor General (General), Mr Peter Wong.

Mr Yuen will return to Hong Kong in the evening of the same day.
