Following is the translation of a speech by the Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, on the Motion on Committee Stage Amendments to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2014 at the Legislative Council meeting today (November 26):

Mr Chairman,

I move the amendments to the clauses read out just now. The amendments to those clauses are set out in the paper circulated to Members.

I have already explained the purposes of the amendments earlier today. The Bills Committee has discussed and expressed support for the above amendments. I urge Members to pass these amendments.
