SJ to visit India

The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will visit New Delhi, India, from February 14 to 16 to attend the Asia Pacific International Mediation Summit co-organised by the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and the Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

Mr Yuen will deliver a keynote speech at the summit on February 15 to promote Hong Kong's international legal and dispute resolution services.

He will meet with the Secretary of UNCITRAL, Mr Renaud Sorieul, and the Minister for Law and Justice of India, Mr Shri D V Sadananda Gowda, to exchange views on matters of mutual interest. He will also call on the Chinese Ambassador to India, Mr Le Yucheng.

In addition, he will visit the Delhi International Arbitration Centre to enhance co-operation and exchanges with India's legal and dispute resolution sector.

Mr Yuen will return to Hong Kong in the morning of February 17.
