Secretary for Justice to visit Shanghai

The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will visit Shanghai on March 16 and 17 to attend the 3rd Shanghai-Hong Kong Commercial Mediation Forum.

Jointly organised by the Shanghai Commercial Mediation Center, the Joint Mediation Helpline Office and the Hong Kong Mediation Council, the forum will provide a platform for mediation organisations in Shanghai and Hong Kong to explore diversified models of commercial mediation and to share views and information on the latest developments of mediation services in the two places.

Mr Yuen will arrive in Shanghai on March 16 and attend the forum's welcome dinner. On March 17, he will deliver a keynote speech at the forum to promote Hong Kong as a centre for international legal and dispute resolution services in the Asia-Pacific region.

During his visit, he will also meet with officials of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice to exchange views on legal co-operation between Shanghai and Hong Kong and other matters of mutual interest.

Mr Yuen will return to Hong Kong in the evening on March 17.
