Secretary for Justice to attend working meeting with Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing

The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will visit Beijing from tomorrow (December 7) to December 9 to attend the annual high-level working meeting with the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enhance mutual understanding on legal and judicial matters between Hong Kong and the Mainland.

Mr Yuen will also attend the signing ceremony of legal exchange and co-operation arrangements between the Department of Justice and the China University of Political Science and Law.

During his stay in Beijing, he will meet with officials of the Supreme People's Court and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss issues of mutual concern.

Mr Yuen will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on December 9.
