The Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC, will visit Shenzhen tomorrow morning (December 29) to attend the signing ceremony of the Arrangement on Mutual Taking of Evidence in Civil and Commercial Matters between the Courts of the Mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (the Arrangement) with the Supreme People's Court.

The Arrangement aims at assisting litigants of the two jurisdictions to obtain evidence in civil and commercial matters under the current legal framework but with enhanced efficiency and greater certainty.

Mr Yuen will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on the same day.
