Lianjun, a partner at Reed Smith Richards Butler, a well-known international law firm. He qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales. He has extensive experience in shipping, admiralty, international trade, letter of credit, ship finance, ship purchase & sale, ship construction, international commercial and shipping arbitration and in practical and legal aspects of doing business, negotiation and litigation in the PRC.

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a listed arbitrator of the Hong Kong International Arbitrator Centre, a Panel Arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), an arbitrator at the arbitration institutions of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao and Xiamen. He is also an arbitrator of Malaysia, India and other international arbitration institutions.

Mr Li is a legal adviser to many well-known international and Chinese enterprises engaged in international trade and commerce, shipping, energy, resources, transportation, shipbuilding and other business sectors.

Lianjun was educated at Dalian Maritime University (B.Sc in Nautical Science and Postgraduate Study in International Economic Law in Maritime Law, World Maritime University (M. Sc in Maritime Administration), Stockholm University (LLM in Comparative Laws) and University of Hong Kong (PCLL, Postgraduate Study in Law). He worked at Dalian Maritime University and Stockholm University before commencing his professional life in Hong Kong in 1993. He was qualified as second officer for ocean going vessel and worked at seas over two years.
